Joyce has undertaken a Game Design Course with Pulse College, this course is a accelerator course into developing homegrown gaming companies for the Irish market. One of the main criteria's in this course is to create an online presence.

Game Design taught by Paul Conway
Paul has taught us the principles of Game Design and the practical side of programming in C# using the Unity Platform. Game Design is the game development process of designing the content and rules of a game in the pre-production stage.
This is the main area of the course that I find extremely interested in so far, from design of gameplay, environment, storyline and characters during production stage. Also acting as the visionary designer of the game.
Here are two games we have created in the Unity Engine.

- Christian has taught us the principles of Concept Art
Concept art is a form of illustration where the main goal is to convey a visual representation of a design, idea, and/or mood for use in films, video games, animation, or comic books before it is put into the final product. I have always had a passion for drawing and design, which I touch on sporadically.
These illustration been developed in both SketchBook Pro 12, and then advanced to Photoshop 6, once we got use to drawing with the Wacom Bamboo and Pen device, which was a new concept for myself.
3D Modelling & Texturing in 3D Studio Max by Ray Mongey
Ray has been an extremely specialised modeller and has taught us how to create the following objects Lizard, Mesh men and building design in 3D Computer Graphic.
This is the process of developing a mathematical representation of any three-dimensional surface of object (either inanimate or living) via specialised software.
Web Design by Cárthach Ó Nuanáin
- Cárthach has taught us the correct way of design good portfilio sites which we can use to promote are talent.
This assignment was drawn up by Cárthach which we have developed in various toolsets like notepad ++ or the likes of Subline Text 2 which I use along side of testing it on all browsers instances and using firebug in Firefox and the inspect element in Chrome to determine any defects.
Ken Audio has taught us the importance of music in video game design, refers to the soundtrack or background music accompanying video games. As you can imagine like in the cinematic world sound adds to the psychology of the mood and emotion the same is added in game design.
Game Theory was taught extremely well by Sean Durkan Game Theory where we learnt the history of game development from the begin to todays date and everything inbetween.All my college files are shared out publically for your viewing.
Ed McElroy Game Studies taught us how to setup a business plan and project management stream in the course. We also have been taught ethics and media awareness as additional interesting subjects.
